Chickens are fascinating creatures! At CHPA, we are excited to have the chicks, and both our staff and pupils are eager to learn all about them. It’s an amazing opportunity to observe the hatching process and understand the life cycle of chickens.

• A female chicken is called a hen, and a male chicken is called a rooster.
• Chickens communicate using more than 30 different sounds.
• Chickens can recognize and remember more than 100 different faces, including human faces!
