Pupil Voice & Representatives.

At CHPA we fully encourage our pupils to take an active part in the development of everything we do. As a result we have the following pupil groups who support us with this – Head Boy & Head Girl – these 2 Y6 Pupils are chosen by the staff based upon pupil attitudes and behaviours during their time at CHPA. They have a number of duties and responsibilities and are a direct link between pupils and the Headteacher.

Deputy Head Boy and Deputy Head Girl – Again, chosen by staff, these positions are to support the Head Boy and Girl in their duties across CHPA.

Our Head Boy, Head Girl and Deputies for 2023-24 are: Head Boy – Austin, Head Girl – Mia, Deputy Head Boy – William, Deputy Head Girl – Amber.

Pupil Council – These pupils are democratically elected by their peers from every class, following a small election campaign. These pupils meet regularly to discuss ways in which CHPA can be improved for pupils. The Head Boy and Head Girl, Chair these meetings.

Eco Warriors – These pupils are democratically elected by their peers from every class, following the small election campaign. These pupils meet regularly to help make CHPA more eco-friendly. The Deputy Head Boy and Deputy Head Girl, Chair these meetings.

Play Leaders – These Y6 pupils are volunteers, who undergo training for them to fulfil this role. They then lead and support with games for other year groups at play and lunchtimes.

Peer Mediators – These Y6 pupils are volunteers, who then go through a selection process, before undertaking in depth training to fulfil this role. At play and lunchtimes, they work on playgrounds to support any low level conflict resolution and liaise with staff as appropriate.

Digital Leaders – There Y6 pupils are volunteers who support with the transfer of IT hardware across CHPA, to ensure classes and year groups have the correct equipment they need to support their learning. They also have the responsibility to ensure equipment is stored and charged correctly, so everyone can use it fully.
