In December 2023, Make {Futures} from the University of Sheffield delivered a D.T day full of engineering activities for the KS2 pupils. Each year group worked with the volunteers from the University of Sheffield to ‘Think’ and ‘Make’ like an engineer. Pupils made play-dough circuits, parachute jets and even coded ozone bots and dash bots to complete an obstacle course! Later, at a staff twilight meeting, teachers had their time to be engineers! They had to create their own thinking cap using a range of materials and tools. They created thinking caps that had lights, motors and art materials. They really were creative! When their making session had finished they had to catwalk with their unique products on their heads!
