Y4 were lucky enough to join 6,000 pupils nationwide in a virtual author visit. Emma Carroll, who is the author of ‘Secrets of a Sunk King’, spoke to the children about the discovery of Tutankhamun’s tomb and the creation of her book. We looked at a range of different images from the time and Emma spoke to us about how this influenced her novel. As it was 100 years to the day that his tomb was opened, we also discussed the importance of opening Tutankhamun’s tomb.
Emma also set us a writing challenge that we are excited to have a go at.
Finally, we were given the opportunity to ask the author questions about her book.
