In November 2022, Y6 completed their Bikeability training. This course seeks to give pupils the skills and confidence to cycle safely on the road. An excellent life skill. They started the training on the playground before progressing onto nearby local roads. The instructors said behaviour and attitudes were exemplary and the pupils were a real credit to CHPA. With the training completed they can now ride their bikes to CHPA from home every day (as long as they wear a helmet). Well done to all!
On 22nd November, Class 1 and 2 had balance bike training with Phil Bateman from Pro Ride Coaching. We practised riding, pushing and gliding, weaving in and out of cones, going under a limbo stick, going over ramps, playing games and racing. We also learnt about how to be safe on a bike and the importance of a helmet.
We had the best time!
