Early in the Autumn term, fifteen Year 6 pupils took part in Play Leader training with Mr Wright.
A key focus on Safety, Time, Equipment, Participants and Space (STEPS), helped the leaders when they were planning and organising their own games. Leaders collaborated well in their groups, listened attentively to one another and praised their peers which was fantastic.
These pupils will now carry these skills forward in their new role as Play Leaders and will use them to support both KS1 and KS2 playgrounds to make playtimes both fun and interactive for everyone.
It was a great morning.

Since completing their training, Play Leaders have been leading games and activities to ensure pupils ahve access to well organised physical activity at play and lunch times.
