On 11th November at 11am (11th day of the 11th month at11am), CHPA fell silent in remembrance and as a mark of respect for those who gave everything so that we can enjoy the freedoms we have today.
Every year, Mr Burgess, Head Boy, Head Girl and their Deputies take an active part in the remembrance service outside the City Hall and 2022 was no exception. Pupils did exceptionally well, laying a wreath on behalf of all CHPA at the Sheffield Senotaph and another one at the Hollinsend War Memorial.
This year, the team received an extra surprise as they met with Andrew Jones, former CHPA Headteacher and now Acting Director of Childrens Services for Sheffield City Council, who joined us for the service and then gave us a tour around the Town Hall, including time in ther Council Chamber, where the decisions around our great city are made.
What an experience.
